Manor Academy's new reward system for students

The Academy seeks to recognise and celebrate positive attendance, achievement, effort and progress.

Achievement points are awarded in all lessons where students follow expectations, make good progress, participate in learning, contribute to discussion or demonstrate positive learning behaviour. Heads of Year celebrate achievement for their year groups, this includes celebration assemblies, Postcards, contact home and reward certificates. The school has brand new rewards badges to highlight our new Achieve culture. The school also hold celebratory events for students gaining the most achievement points in a half term. There is a yearly award ceremony to recognise continued effort, attendance and success over the year.

We have also introduced half termly celebration assemblies to recognise the achievement of students each half term. This includes the Manor Student award for 100% attendance, no behaviour points and being in the top 10 for achievement points during the half term. Also recognised are students who have achieved 100% attendance for the half term, who have excelled in individual subjects during the half term, and also students are recognised by their Head of Year for having an outstanding attitude to learning.
