Throughout the Academy students are given the opportunity to take part in volunteering. These new experiences allow students to become more skilled, confident and employable and through volunteering students gain skills for life. Current volunteering opportunities exist in the student senate and Leo Club, at parents events, reading support, learning assistant, Strand support, Sports clubs / fixtures and lunchtime supervisor.
To progress the volunteering skills already developed, during their time in Manor College, all students are enrolled onto the V-inspired programme. All students will undertake between 3-5 hours volunteering each week. Students are supported to experience at least 3 different volunteer placements throughout their programme of study from a variety of opportunities, which could involve volunteering in the community.
