Academy Dress Code

You can purchase your child's uniform in our Uniform Shop. 


 

At all times:

Navy school blazer with the Academy emblem and name 

A Manor Academy Velcro Tie

A white or blue shirt/blouse (must be able to button to the top).

Plain black leather type shoes, not canvas, without logo’s and bright coloured stitching

Boys - Black school trousers, black socks.

Girls - Plain black knee length school skirt or black full length school trousers, black socks or black opaque tights.

Navy blue reversible Rugby shirt

Navy blue or black tracksuit/jogging bottoms

Navy blue or black socks

Navy blue polo shirt

Navy blue sweatshirt (no hooded tops)

Football boots (not essential)

NB: If your child forgets to bring or brings any unacceptable kit they will need to borrow from The Academy.

If your child cannot take part in Strive activities they must still bring their equipment and an explanatory letter.  They will be asked to take part in Strive undertaking a different role whether it be coach/official/general helper.

STRIVE has a strict no jewellery policy; if students have had a recent ear piercing and cannot take it out for the first 6 weeks, they cannot physically participate and they will be given a different learning role within the lesson.

Optional but not instead of compulsory items:

Items and Clothing Not Permitted

Certain items are not acceptable on school premises:-  jeans defined by style or material/chinos, high-heeled shoes; shoes with studs; high boots, snow boots (except in exceptional weather conditions); patterned shirts; football scarves and hats; baseball caps, hooded tops made from sweatshirt type material.

Jewellery: one pair of stud earrings to be worn in ears only; no facial piercings allowed. 

Please note that hairstyles which contain bright, unnatural colours and heavy make-up are not allowed.  Hair accessories must be small and not brightly coloured.

Mobile phones and MP3 players should be turned off in lessons and kept in bags; ear phones should not be visible.  At all times they are the sole responsibility of the student. 

Students who arrive at The Academy wearing incorrect uniform will be required as appropriate to remove it; the item will then be kept securely by The Academy staff until the end of the day. Replacement items can be borrowed from the Academy. Students refusing to do this will be educated away from mainstream lessons until the situation is resolved.
