Leisure Facility Update
The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. It is for this reason that our Board of Trustees have made the decision to keep Manor Sport and Recreational Centre closed for the time being. This decision allows us to limit the traffic on our school sites which will protect our students’ education. Additionally, many of our leisure facilities are also being used to support our strict COVID-19 safety measures. When we are confident we can open the facilities safely, we will do so.
Will I get a refund if I have made a payment for a booking that hasn’t gone ahead?
Refunds were processed by our staff across all sites at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you believe you are due a refund and have not received this, please send your query to firstname.lastname@example.org
My child is missing out on clubs and lessons such as swimming, football and athletics. Will they still be able to have a place when you reopen?
We understand the importance of sports and fitness for everyone, especially children. At the point of reopening, we will work with our existing sports partners and clubs to reinstate their bookings as quickly as possible.
The Government guidance says that outdoor sports and children’s swimming lessons can go ahead. Why are you choosing not to open?
Our Board of Trustees have taken the decision to pause the reopening of our leisure facilities and lettings in schools to allow us to focus on welcoming children back into the classroom. To do that safely, there are instances where leisure facilities and spaces normally used for sports and fitness are being used to facilitate lessons and breaktimes. By keeping our facilities closed to the public we are able to minimise any infection risk to students and staff.
