January Return Information
The Government has announced that secondary schools will re-open on a phased basis, as follows:
- If your child is classed as vulnerable or if you or your partner is a key worker, then your child will return to school on Monday 4th January.
- If your child is taking exams this academic year (which includes all those in Year 11, 12 and Year 13), then your child will return to school on Monday 11th January. Your child is expected to engage fully with remote learning from Tuesday 5th January so that they keep up with their education.
On Monday 4th January students are expected to Log onto Office365 https://portal.office.com and select their year team.
- If your child is in Years 7, 8, 9, or 10 then your child will return to school on Monday 18th January. Your child is expected to engage fully with remote education during the previous two weeks commencing on Tuesday 5th January so that they keep up with their education.
On Monday 4th January students are expected to Log onto Office365 https://portal.office.com and select their year team.
A great deal of planning and risk assessment has gone into ensuring that our school continues to be as safe as it can be for pupils and staff, in line with latest Government and Public Health England guidance.
We will continue to take decisions in the best interests of our pupils, working with you and keeping you informed, while following the latest Government guidance.
