On Thursday the 18th of July, we will be visited by production/rock group called, "The Half Eight". They will be performing a theatre production based around mental health, relationships and cyber bullying to all year groups throughout the day.

Mental health issues are effecting thousands of students across the country and it is important we give our student the upmost support in order to reduce the issues students are faced with. Students are faced with immense pressures in their lives, which can lead to anxiety, depression and many other issues. Students should always feel comfortable coming into school and we want them to be confident in themselves to succeed.

We look forward to watching 'The Half Eight' perform and how they can move our students with their performances and make them think more in depth about mental health, relationships and cyber bullying. More than 1 in 10 children aged 10-15 say they have no one to talk to or wouldn’t talk to anyone in school if they feel worried or sad. This is the same proportion of children who have a diagnose mental health problem. We are here and putting these practices in place will make students think about their decisions and seek help, if needed.
