To support national efforts to keep everyone safe, and in accordance with the national requirements, we ask parents and carers to contact us up to and including Wednesday 23 December 2020 if a student of the academy is diagnosed with COVID-19 and they have developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school. For most this would mean symptoms should have started by Saturday 19 December.

If you need to contact us during the holiday regarding please email

covidreporting@themanor.notts.sch.uk  up to and including Wednesday 23 December 2020.  The email address will be checked daily up to that date.

Please include the following information:

  • Student name and year group
  • Your own name and contact details
  • The date of the positive test
  • The date when symptoms started and what they were

The DFE and Public Health England have asked for support from schools to trace and trace during the Christmas Holiday and so we may need to contact you if your child has been a close contact of a diagnosed positive case. If necessary we will do so my Schoolcomms and will not require a response.

If your child is a close contact of a positive case they should follow the national guidance to isolate for 14 days from last point of contact with the diagnosed individual.  Other members of your household would be able continue normal activities provided your child does not develop symptoms within the 14 day self-isolation period.

Thank you for all your support and understanding – we hope for a peaceful and safe Christmas season for all families.

Yours faithfully
