Year 13 students record Manor best ever A Level results
Students and staff are celebrating today as Manor achieved its best ever A Level results with 69% of our Y13’s being awarded grades in the A*-B range. Overall the school is celebrating even higher grades across all subjects than in previous years.
Ben Gale achieved 3 A* grades, which is a first in the history of the school. He is delighted to be going on to Edinburgh University and he said, “I am really pleased with all my results, I can’t wait to start university in September”.
Amongst many other outstanding performances Connor Craig achieved A* and 2 A grades. He has secured a place at Oxford University to study Spanish. He said, “it really hasn’t sunk in yet. If someone had said I was capable of this a few years ago I wouldn’t have believed it. I want to thank all my teachers for the incredible support I’ve been given”.
Mimosa Waduge achieved A* and 2 A grades; she is going to Birmingham University to study Biomedical Science. Josh Scott Hibbert achieved 2 A and 1 B grades and he is going to Warwick University to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Mrs Kerry said, “our current Y13’s are wonderful, hardworking, dedicated students. We are all so immensely proud of what they have achieved this year despite all the additional challenges they have faced”.
Mr Sully said, “it has been a pleasure to work with so many talented students. The biggest reward in teaching is to see them achieve their dreams and ambitions, from high level apprenticeships to Russell Group and Oxford University places”.
