Shadow Syndicate16 Apr 2013 On the 21st March, Shadow Syndicate opened the National Theatre C...The second half started well for Manor and they gained a corner within 3 minutes, a cracking delivery from Liam Green to the near post saw Chaz Simpkin jump and the ball deflected off a Boston defenders head to beat the stranded keeper to give Manor a deserved 1-0 lead. The Manor side soon got a head of steam and turned on the after burners, 3 minutes later another corner was delivered to the near post and the ball was cleared to Fenn Radford on the left corner of the box who hit an unstoppable volley into the top corner. After the Boston keeper had made another fine save from a Fenn Radford shot from 25 yards Liam Green causing havoc all day with his corners found Conor Green in the box who side footed the ball home to give Manor a 3-0 lead with only 10 minutes of the second half gone.
The remainder of the second half followed the same suit with Manor having all the possession creating chance after chance and it was no shock when the next goal came. After great work from Conor Green down the left wing beating 3 players he crossed the ball for Liam Green who hit the bar with a great volley and the ball bounced down to Luke Darby who headed the ball into an open net. With the score 4-0 we were lucky to bring on all of our 5 subs and 2 of them had an immediate impact, Bailey Wardle beat his man with a great piece of skill and whipped in a cross that Rodoslav Kinaev slotted in at the back post. The Manor boys were on the rampage and created a number of chances with the Boston keeper trying his best to keep the score down. The final goal came from Ashley Wilson who picked the ball up on the edge of the box and fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner. The Referee Blew the final whistle seeing Manor triumphantly victorious 6-0 winners. Even though the goal scorers will get a lot of credit the back four of Rhys Edmonds, Harry Joule, Chaz Simpkin and Tom Richardson need a special mention as they kept Boston's incredibly talented striker under wraps all game and to keep a clean sheet is down to them.
To say that they boys played amazing is an understatement, they are destroying sides who have won convincingly in previous rounds not just beating them. They are now through to the 7th round which is the last 16 and to say that 742 schools entered in round 1 this is a tremendous achievement already and it is not over yet……! (read less)
